While you are tanning: make this DIY restorative honey hair masque
Those few precious minutes while your bronzing Gel, Mousse or Lotion dries each time you tan should be considered sacred. It isn't much, maybe 5 minutes max, but the time is yours to take the opportunity to do something pleasurable for yourself; a fleeting moment to make yourself feel calmer and more grounded. You can use this time to meditate, to read a few more pages of a really good book like this one, or to whisk together a quick and easy restorative hair masque that can be kept in the fridge for three or so days until you're ready to use it.
This masque is totally pure, made from ingredients you already have in your kitchen and really packs a punch in the hydrate-and-repair department. Rich in essential fatty acids, Vitamins E and A, minerals and probiotics, it's economical, smells delicious and will undo all the damage of harsh summer sun rays, stripping salt water or cruel winter wind in the space of 15-20 minutes.
Simply mash one whole avocado with 1/4 cup of raw, unheated organic honey and 1/4 cup cold pressed olive oil. Lather onto combed, damp hair and wrap with cellophane. Once 15 or 20 minutes have passed, shampoo, condition and style hair as normal. Your hair will feel nourished, hydrated and be increasingly vibrant with frequent use.
