Don't over wash or scrub:
If you are having problems with oily skin and you aren't prone to it make sure you're not over washing or scrubbing your face. Continuing to remover the skins natural oils will only make it produce more. So be careful this isn't why your skin is lashing out.
Kaolin Clay is rich in calcium, silica, zinc and magnesium which is ideal for oily skin. It's super absorbing properties will help eliminate oil without drying out your skin, leaving it soft, clean and hydrated. It's also a great natural product to try before you head for the chemicals to solve your oily skin.
Kaolin Clay Mask for Oily Skin
2 teaspoons of kaolin clay. 2-3 teaspoons of natural yogurt. 2 drops tea tree essential oil. 1 Camomile tea bag (squeezed).
- Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl stirring enough yogurt or herbal tea to come up with paste which can be spread.
- Wash your face and leave it damp, thereafter smooth the mask over your face and neck only; avoid eyes and mouth.

You may think your skin doesn't need any extra moisture if it's oily but that's not the case. Moisturising will help hydrate your skin and keep it balanced. Try a gel and oil-free moisturiser like the Nars Skin Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturiser.
If your oil production is making your makeup look shinny or you just need to control your oil when out, then blotting paper is perfect. Keep them in your bag and blot away when needed.
Translucent powder is another great way to keep the oil under control when out. Touch up but make sure you don't over do-it, we recommend you only re-apply twice as it can build up and clog your pores with all the excess oil production.
Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. Oils are a great way to neutralise your natural oil production, we recommend Jojoba as it imitates your skins natural oils so it doesn't feel the need to product as much.
Retinol + Vitamin A:
Retinol or Vitamin A is everywhere in beauty at the moment, most commonly geared towards anti-ageing it's also a great for reducing the skins production of oil and can also reduce dark spots pimples leave behind. It's a win win!
