Beauty: Naked Nails
One: Clean up your act
Two: Solid foundations
For the first coat, make it light and thin so it really sticks to the nail and creates a strong foundation for the next coat. You can even lightly buff over this first coat to give texture and help the next coat stick. If you bump the colour on the skin now is a good time to clean this up. Nude is a great colour for a home manicure as it's easy to rectify any mistakes.
Three: Layer it up
Apply a second coat and allow to dry. You may need a third depending on what brand you're using and how opaque you want to make it, but you're not necessarily trying to conceal the entire nail bed when using nude, so try to keep it light and natural.
Four: The finale
A good quality top coat has the ability to extend the life of your nail colour by leaps and bounds. You also don't have spend a fortune but invest a little and you will be rewarded. Wait ten minutes until your nails are completely dry then add a coat of Deborah Lippmann 'Addicted To Speed' Ultra Quick Dry Topcoat.
