Pool Porn: because it's summer somewhere

With the grips of an Australian winter now upon us, lately we've found ourselves wishing for an endless summer. And while we always opt for a safe, sunless-tan in reality, there is no harm in dreaming of long, sleepy afternoons with the rich sun beaming down as the sound of pristine, cool water laps beside us. Here are six of our favourite pools as seen in Vogue over the years, to bring the sunny season just a little closer.

1. Perfumed by the sweet scent of Jasmine, the pool at the home of Celia Forner and Francesco Venturi in Majorca is perfectly serene with it's palette of beige and terracotta. Photographed by Francois Halard for Vogue 2010.

2. A modernist wonder atop a mountain in Connecticut, Paris-born painter Bernard Lamotte's lean, angular pool is truly elegant. Photographed by Andre Kertesz for Vogue, 1960.

3. Whimsical and romantic, the wildflowers framing this enchanting pool in and East Sussex garden designed by Jinny Blon make it the perfect place for a secret afternoon dip in the summertime. Photographed by Christopher Sturman for Vogue 2010.

4. Brilliant tawny leather daybeds adorn the timbre deck of this pristine infinity pool designed by Studio Ko, in Corsica. Photographed by Francois Halard for Vogue, 2015.

5. Steeped in old-world charm, the pool of designer David Hicks is bordered by meticulously groomed Chestnut Trees. Photographed by Francois Halard for Vogue 2004.

6. Wicker chaise lounges covered by white bougainvillea provide a peaceful accompaniment to this hexagonal pool at the home of David Netto and Ione Skye. Photographed by Francois Halard for Vogue, 2003.
