Unaffected, quietly confident, and a book you definitely can't judge by it's cover. For a lot of us Lara is the quintessential natural Aussie beauty.
And when you look at her approach to skin and health you see that she really is all about being natural. Focused on looking after her skin and health without fuss, she eschews injectables and any cosmedic surgical 'solutions' for exercise, vitamins, lots of water, regular facial treatments and simple skin care routines.
Lara has never looked better since becoming a mum (and an amazing hands-on one at that). She has perfected my favourite style - the effortless, natural, 'un-done' look. And she shows us that it's a look that just needs equal parts effort, knowledge, and self-confidence.
What is your morning skincare regime?
For the moment I use, CosMedix Purity Clean Cleanser, Actinica Liposomal SPF50+, The Base LB Cream in Caramel and for the body I use Kiehls Crème de Corps and Aesop Geranium Leaf is my favorite body wash.
What is your evening skincare regime?
When I was pregnant I got a lot of pigmentation so I have just started to use SkinMedica Lytera Skin Brightening Complex every night. I also sleep in Cosmedix Rescue Balm on my face and Results RX Eye Dr eye cream.
What are the three skincare products you can’t be without?
The Base Gradual Tanning Lotion is my essential for an all year round glow. My hair is probably the most low-maintenance thing about me but i love EVO ‘the therapist’ Calming Shampoo and Conditioner. In the summer I let it air dry — the only heat I use on my hair is the sun.
Favourite skin tips or tricks?
I can honestly say I have never taken much skin care advice from anyone, except from the women in my family, who swear by such old fashioned tips, such as swimming in the salty sea and drinking water.
How do you maintain your skin whilst travelling?
I always use Cosmedix Rescue Balm for long haul flights or during winter when my skin is dry and dehydrated. It's great as a lip balm as well. It locks in moisture and keeps my skin hydrated. I also drink massive amounts of water.
What’s your everyday makeup regime?
What regular treatments do you have to maintain your complexion?
When I am in Sydney I go weekly (I wish I could go daily) for my facials with Melanie Grant. I have gentle peels, light therapy, microdermabrasion and hydration infusions. I miss Mel when I'm away, she has taught me so much about skin. I also love Bath houses — Russian or Turkish — any bath house always equalizes me.
What does your diet look like on a day to day basis?
In terms of what I eat, everything's pretty healthy. I drink so much water — at least 3 litres a day.
Do you take any supplements?
More than anything, I believe that beauty comes from the inside. I’m very diligent about supplements. I even have a travel kit that stays by my side. It includes Omega-3s, Biotin and BioSil for skin and hair. I also take vitamin D, which I think is super important if you can’t get 15-20 minutes a day in the sun. At night I take magnesium which is also really great for the skin.
If you could go back in time and give your 20 something self advice, what would it be?
Wear sunscreen everyday.

What are your own must-have beauty products?
The LB Cream - It’s my must-have everyday product, especially since having Rocket. It is great when you have no time, as I’m sure all mothers (especially new mothers) will agree. It's a multi-purpose cream that transforms the complexion, evens out skin tone and has a built in SPF.
What is your best tip you’ve learnt from being in the industry?
Use sunscreen. Everyday.
